About

I currently write a lot about new developments and ethical issues related to artificial intelligence (AI). I recently explored whether a machine could ever love you back and how Large Language Models (LLMs) that power chatbots make sense of time. My recent work also includes health-related news and feature stories such as the dark side of weight-loss drugs like Ozempic.

In 2024, I was awarded a journalist travel grant to attend the Lindau Nobel Laureate meeting. The forum brought together about 30 Nobel Prize winners to discuss physics-related innovations including the current state of quantum computing, which I wrote about.

I grew up in Toronto, Canada and studied at McGill University and Concordia University in Montreal. I am currently based in London, UK but spend part of the year in Morocco, near the Sahara desert.
